Ep. 11—The Stamina for Healthy Relationship

In this episode, Amber and Kurt explore the health of relationships and what allows us to experience more sincere, steady, healthy and nourishing relationships and intimacy.

They explore steady consistency as a foundational quality of good relating, and the importance of returning to care and active connection over time. Through the small, ordinary moments of presence and connection, we begin to create the conditions for healthy relationship to grow.

The conversation moves into deep presence and what it means to truly be with another person. They explore how experiences of hurt, absence or inconsistency can shape our relationship with closeness and intimacy, and why forcing ourselves into connection does not create healthy relating. Instead, there is an invitation to slow down, honour boundaries and allow connection to develop with patience and consistency.

From here, they explore meditation as a way of becoming more consciously alert, awake and present within our human experience. By gathering our attention back into the body and becoming more available to what is here, we create greater capacity for true relating, connection and participation in life.

We have created Stamina, a free seven-day embodied meditation practice

to support you in gathering yourself back in and developing a deeper relationship with your body, awareness, heart, boundaries and ground.

You can explore Stamina here.
